Install Ntop di ClearOS

ntop adalah utiliy untuk melihat/ memonitor trafik pada jaringan. memonitor hosts yang sedang aktif dalam jaringan dan memberikan laporan berisi informasi yang berhubungan dengan IP (Internet Protocol) dan trafik Fibre Channel (FC).

#yum --enablerepo=base-extras install ntop

setelah selesai/complete kemudian ketik ntop
dan akan diminta memasukan password...
enter password dan retype kembali ketika diminta....
setelah itu CTRL+C

dan jalankan service ntop dengan cara #service ntop start

Buka browser arahkan ke http://IP_COS:3000/

Jika diminta masukin username dan passwd:
user: admin
passwd: password_yang_dibuat_di_ntop

Kurang lebih nya begt...silahkan eksplorer lebih jauh lagi apa itu ntop dan apa lagi yang bisa dilakukan ntop....

Jika kemudian ada eror dibagian ip>Local>Network Trafic Map

Missing 'dot' tool (expected /usr/local/bin/dot). Please set its path
(key dot.path) here.

Maka Kita perlu instal modul  graphviz
rpm -Uvh http://rpmfind.net/linux/dag/redhat/el5/en/i386/dag/RPMS/graphviz-2.8-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm

# update graphviz configuration file

 
dot_static -c

# graphviz installs dot ke /usr/bin sehingga kita perlu update ntop preferences

# setting  "dot" 
# imasuk ke Admin -> Configure -> Preferences
# pada klom kosong tambah section "dot.path" 
# mauskan value  "/usr/bin/dot" klik  "add"

# tmasuk kembali ke Admin -> Configure -> Preferences
# Mungkin akan kita lihat dot.path pada nilai kosong
# ketik kembali value kosong "/usr/bin/dot" 
# restart ntop 
service ntop restart

dan rubah bagian Log Encoding menjadi ON

setelah selesai,, silahkan coba upload video yang sudah di siapkan

tapi untuk sementara masih yang berformat (*.flv) (*.wmv) (*.avi) (*.ogg) (*.mpg) (*.mp4) (*.mov) (*.m4v)

dan nikmati dah jerih payah anda....

Instalasi Jibas

Instalasi manual jibas di ClearOS

Silahkan download dulu source/kode sumber :
Di sini
1. pastikan fungsi webserver, php v.5 keatas dan MySql database sudah terinstal dan jalan.

2. setelah download selesai langkah selanjutnya adalah extract hasil download tadi ke /var/www/html (disini saya menggunakan WinScp)

3. kemudian di cli ubah permission untuk folder jibas dan fileshring :

   - chown -R 755 filesharing/
   - chown -R 755 jibas/

4. kemudian buat nama database di PhpMyAdmin dengan nama 'jbsakad'

5. selanjutnya database jibas di dump melalui cli dengan mengetik syntax :

Tutorial Install vBulletin Di Server ClearOS

Upgrade PHP ke versi 5.2.17 --> http://clearos-indonesia.com/index.php?topic=638.0

1. download file vBulletin *

File name: vBulletin.Suite.v4.1.2.PHP.zip File size: 9.71 MB

2. Extract file tersebut, kemudian buka folder upload > includes > config.php.new < rename jadi config.php
3. buka file config.php

Instalasi Openfire (Chat & Voice Server)

Download Openfire :
Download file Installer Openfire (openfire-3.6.4-1.i386.rpm) dari http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/index.jsp
Copy file openfire-3.6.4-1.i386.rpm ke COS di directory /opt/openfire (saya gunakan WinSCP)
Instalasi di COS :
Login sebagai root melalui CLI (dgn putty) dan install openfire
-  # cd /opt/openfire
-  # rpm -ivh openfire-3.6.4-1.i386.rpm
Jika instalasi selesai tanpa erorr, jalankan Openfire server
-  # /etc/init.d/openfire start
Setup MySQL Database :
Pastikan MySQL sudah running
Create New Database untuk openfire (misalkan namanya openfire)
Inport database untuk openfire yang diambil dari COS di /opt/openfire/resources/database/openfire_mysql.sql
Setup Server Perama kali :
Akses Openfire melalui alamat http://ip-cos:9090  (misalkan http://192.168.1.1:9090)
Setting language = English, Domain = domain anda yg aktif untuk COS (untuk domain bisa menggunakan fitur dynamic DNS dari Clearcenter misalkan serverku.poweredbyclear.com )
Database setting = use database external
Database = MySQL, Database URL = jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/openfire (yg diubah servernya saja menjadi localhost)
Profile setting = Pilih directory server (LDAP)  [ karena saya ingin integrasikan dengan user account yg sudah ada di COS, dengan sendirinya LDAP di COS harus running] jika ragu boleh pilih default [user dicreate baru dan tidak menyatu dgn user di COS]
Profile Setting – Connection setting = diisi dari data yg ada di LDAP COS
User & Group Mapping = Default
Administrator Account = isikan account yg akan digunakan untuk admin di server Openfire
Selesai, silahkan “Login to Administration Console” atau bisa melalui alamat http://ip-cos:9090

- Kalau kurang pas TUT atau urutannya silahkan disempurnakan (di-oprex bareng-bareng) karena ini hasil ujicoba dan kebetulan jalan
- Sofware untuk messenger client gunakan spark bisa didownload dari server yg sama http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/index.jsp
- Untuk akses dari luar jaringan silahkan dibuka port di COS – firewall - incomming yg dibutuhkan oleh openfire.

Instalasi Drupal

PERSIAPAN INSTALASI
1. Pastikan webserver dan mysql server telah jalan.
Upgrade PHP ke versi 5.2.17

Disini saya menggunakan Drupal 6
Recommended: PHP 5.2 for Drupal 5 and 6, PHP 5.3 for Drupal 7

2. masuk ke direktori /var/www/html

3.buat direktori drupal

4.Download file installer

BUAT DATABASE
1. Masuk ke webconfig, Server - MySQL , isikan password untuk root MySQL, tekan update
2. Klik di GO , masuk ke PHPMyAdmin
3. Masukkan user = root, password= paswd yg anda buat tadi
4. Create new database = drupaldb
5. Masuk privileges - Add a new User
User name = drupaluser
Password = drupalpwd
Database for user = Grant all privileges on database
Global privileges = Check All
Tekan GO

TAHAP INSTALASI
1. http://IP_COS/drupal/drupal-6.20/install.php

2. Choose language     : Continue installation in English
3. Verify requirements : ubah melalui winscp
#drupal-6.20/sites/default/default.settings.php  jadi  drupal-6.20/sites/default/settings.php

4.Set up database     :

Perintah ini kurasa ga perlu dijalankan karena pas saya eksekusi, web Red5 berjalan tetapi CLI di putty jadi nggantung dan saat di terminate putty nya Red5 juga ikut berhenti.
Solusinya buat prosedur untuk menjalankan servicenya.
- #Vi /etc/init.d/red5       (saya gunakan winscp untuk create file tsb dgn nama red5)
- Copas text dari http://www.sohailriaz.com/downloads/red5.txt
- Edit bagian RED5_HOME sesuaikan dengan yg kita gunakan kemudian Simpan file
  (RED5_HOME=/usr/local/red5 menjadi RED5_HOME=/opt/red5-0.9.1 )
- Perintah yg bisa digunakan : /etc/init.d/red5 [ start |stop |restart |status ]
Jalankan Server Red5

Web akses dan install aplikasi
Buka http://IP-COS:5080 atau http://domainku.poweredbyclear.com:5080
Untuk akses dari luar buka incoming port 5080 untuk Red5 dan 1935 untuk Flash/ RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol)

Untuk menjalankan Aplikasi silahkan kembali akses ke http://IP-COS:5080/demos
yang sudah saya coba adalah aplikasi Ofla-Demo http://IP-COS:5080/demos/ofla_demo.html
Diatas ada link server silahkan dirubah sesuai server yg digunakan   rtmp://IP-COS/oflaDemo
lalu klik Connect, jika berhasil terhubung maka logo angka 5 di kanan atas berubah dari warna kuning menjadi hijau dan dibagian library muncul daftar Video yg bisa kita putar.
Untuk menambahkan file video silahkan kumpulkan file flv (saya ambil file hasil download dari youtube) kemudian dicopy ke folder /opt/red5-0.9.1/webapps/oflaDemo/streams/

Seperti di ceritakan di atas bahwa POS ini menggunakan interface webbased jadi client tinggal buka browser yang ada dan jreng langsung deh transaksi

Proses Install
1.   Donlot software phppointofsale dari inet
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phppointofsale/files/PHP%20Point%20Of%20Sale/PHP%20Point%20Of%20Sale%2010.0/PHP-Point-Of-Sale-10.9.zip/download

2.   Extract deh pake winzip ata 7zip juga boleh
3.   Rename hasil ekstarakan nya dengan nama “pos” (tanpa kutip)
4.   Buka mysql di clearos

5.   Buat database baru dengan nama “phppos” (tanpa kutip)
6.   Pilih tab import > browse dan pilih database.sql di folder database hasil ekstarkan tadi
7.   Klo udah lanjut pencet tombol go dan dia akan create tabel2 yang dibutuhin (keluar pesan 32 query seccesful)
8.   Masih di folder pos, selanjut nya ke folder application/config dan cari yang namanya “database.php.tmpl”. Rename file tersebut dengan “database.php”
9.   Open “database.php” dan ubah settingan nya pada bagian

Instalasi NAGIOS v.3.2.3 di ClearOS 5.2 sp1

NAGIOS adalah :
1. Sebuah sistem dan aplikasi untuk memonitor jaringan.
2. Memantau host dan layanan yang Anda tetapkan, memperingatkan Anda bila ada sesuatu yang buruk dan memberitahu ketika keadaan
    jaringan yang dimonitoring menjadi lebih baik
3. Awalnya dirancang untuk berjalan pada Linux, meskipun harus bekerja di bawah paling beragam Unix yang lain.

Fitur-fitur yang ada di NAGIOS (Klo ada yg masih kurang atau salah mohon di koreksi) :
1. Pemantauan layanan jaringan (SMTP, POP3, HTTP, NNTP, PING, dll)
2. Monitoring sumber daya host (processor load, disk usage, dll)
3. Desain plugin sederhana yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk dengan mudah mengembangkan layanan mereka sendiri
4. Layanan cek yang paralel
5. Kontak pemberitahuan layanan atau host ketika masalah terjadi dan bisa diselesaikan (melalui email, pager, atau metode yang ditetapkan
    pengguna)

7. File log otomatis rotasi

Langkah-langkah dalam instalasi :

1.  yum -y --enablerepo=rpmforge install httpd php gcc glibc glibc-common gd gd-devel
     Klo dah dijalanin ada pesen ky gini : "Error getting repository data for rpmforge, repository not found"
     Jangan takut itu jg yg w alamin pas eksekusi langkah yg pertamax

2.  Jalanin script yg ke 2 yaitu untuk versi x86 (32-bit) :
     rpm -Uhv http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm
     untuk versi x64 (64-bit) :

3.  Klo dilangkah ke 2 gak da masalah lanjut ke step 3 yaitu proses instal NAGIOS scriptnya :
     yum -y --enablerepo=rpmforge install nagios nagios-plugins nagios-plugins-setuid

     Hasilnya klo di ClearOS punya w seperti ini :

4.    Selamat ClearOS Anda sudah terinstal NAGIOS  sekarang tinggal membuat user ma passwordnya caranya :
     Jalankan script ini
    htpasswd -c /etc/nagios/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin --> INI BWAT USERNAME
     truuus..... nanti hasilnya keluar
    New password: --> KETIK USERNAME
       Re-type new password: --> VERIFIKASI USERNAME
       Adding password for user nagiosadmin

5.  Truus kita verifikasi default config-nya dengan cara :
     nagios -v /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg

      Klo output di ClearOS w ky gini :

6.  Selanjutnya kita setting service NAGIOS biar otomatis running tiap kali ClearOS booting.....
     Scriptnya : chkconfig nagios on
     klo di step ini ada pesen error caranya coba "Pastikan hak akses dari folder nagios 755"

7.  Jalanin deh servicenya pake : /etc/init.d/nagios start
   
     Hasil di ClearOS w ky gini :
     nagios is stopped
     Starting nagios:                                           [  OK  ]

8.  Dah slesai kah ? SABAAR......., kita masih harus restart Apache server dolo caranya :
     /etc/init.d/httpd restart

     Hasil di ClearOS w ky gini :

9.  Kelar deeh instalasi NAGIOS-nya tinggal kita cek melalui browser dengan cara (contoh : https://192.168.88.1/nagios atau bisa jg nembak  
     nama servernya ky ClearOS gw https://clearos/nagios)

10.Klo dah muncul halaman login maka :     (Ilmu dan ClearOS Anda telah bertambah maju)

Instalasi Opencart (buat toko Online)

Mencoba berbagi, bagi yang berniat membuka toko Online, bs dicoba untuk membuat website penjualan dg menggunakan Software open source yang bernama Opencart. Sebuah software yang mempunyai kelebihan dlam kemudahan utk meng-customize dgn tampilan yg cukup elegan dan juga banyaknya dukungan termasuk bahasa

Bagi yang blm terbiasa dlm mengelola website pun, dapat dgn mudah menggunakannya.

berikut contoh penampakannya

Setlh itu panggil ip COS di browser. Karena tadi saya memberi nama folder belanja maka dalam memanggil ip COS hrs diikuti nama foldernya. Apabila Anda tdk memberi folder, maka cukup memanggilnya dgn IP COS aja. Contoh : http://ipclearos/belanja


4. Centang persetujuan lisensinya, lalu ikuti petunjuk selanjutnya.
5. Tahap selanjutnya maka akan cek kebutuhan instalasi.  Apabila ada yg blm tercentang hijau, berarti ada konfigurasi yg blm sesuai, sesuaikan seperti yg dipersyaratkan. Demikian juga dgn status file dan direktorinya hrs writable. Anda bs merubah permissionnya dgn menggunakan winScp (777).
6. Langkah selanjutnya yaitu pengaturan konfigurasi database. Isi sesuai dgn pada waktu pembuatan database phpmyadmin

Selanjutnya Anda tinggal costumize sendiri sesuai kebutuhan...oya jangan lupa delet folder install setelah proses instalasi selesai...
Untuk membuka website yg sdh dibuat, buka http://ipclearos/belanja
Untuk login administrator, ketik : http://ipclearos/belanja/admin

Instalasi Nessus -4.4.1 32 Bit di Clearos

Nessus adalah sebuah software scanning, yang dapat digunakan untuk mengaudit kemanan sebuah sistem, seperti vulnerability, misconfiguration, security patch yang belum diaplikasikan, default password, dan denial of service. Menurut saya ini merupakan sebuah keharusan bagi para network/server administrator disamping beberapa tool auditing lainnya seperti NMAP, Metasploit, dan lain sebagainya. Nessus sendiri memiliki arsitektur server-client, tujuannya adalah untuk menghemat resource dengan menggunakan sebuah server scanning untuk beberapa client sekaligus.

PERSIAPAN INSTALASI
1.   Download file installer di:

        Setelah itu lakukan registrasi ke website Nessus. Form registrasi berada di
       
        http://www.nessus.org/register/.

Caranya cukup mudah, yang kemudian intinya kita akan dikirimi sebuah kode registrasi ke email yang kita daptarkan pada form tersebut. Registrasi ini bertujuan agar kita bisa mendownload plugin-plugin baru dari Nessus. Nessus sendiri memiliki dua buah metode berlangganan untuk mendapatkan plugin-plugin ini. Metode pertama adalah dengan keanggotaan membayar (ProfessionalFeed). Dengan keanggotaan ini kita akan mendapatkan plugin-plugin fresh. Sedangkan keanggotaan free (HomeFeed), adalah keanggotaan gratis, yang akan mendapatkan plugin setelah 7 hari plugin diterbitkan untuk keanggotaan ProfessionalFeed.

4.   Setelah register chek email dan masukkan perintah (gunakan putty)

Rubah  "/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf" di line 293 and 327 dari: AllowOverride None ke  AllowOverride All
Restart the web server.: # service httpd restart

3. Memperbaiki upload yang error
Solusi :
-  file Cgi-bin upload dengan mode binnary kemudian set permission file ke 755
- perbaiki /etc/httpd/conf.d  cari file vhost anda tambahkan script alias cgi-bin
seperti dibawah ini

Setup moodle Pertama kali:
Akses http://ip-cos/moodle atau dengan domain http://domainku.poweredbyclear.com/moodle
Jika akses menggunakan domain gagal, cek kembali settingan webserver defaultnya pastikan website yg tertera sesuai dengan website yg akan diakses "domainku.poweredbyclear.com(default)" dan Incomming firewall untuk port 80 (web) sudah di ijinkan
Setting bahasa : English - Pilih Next
Chek PHP setting, semua harus berstatus “Pass” - Pilih Next
Konfirmasi lokasi Instalasi Moodle - Jangan dulu pilih Next karean Data Directory belum tersedia
Buat folder baru di COS untuk data directory moodle di /var/www/moodledata/ dan Set permission menjadi 0777 (saya gunakan winscp)
Kembali ke Instalasi Moodle - Pilih Next
Konfigurasi database moodle, di isi sesuai database yg telah dibuat untuk moodle
- Type            : MySQL
- Host Server : localhost
- Database    : moodle
- User            : moodledb
- password    : clearos
- Table prefix : mdl_
Pilih Next
Pengecekan komponen system yg ada (seharusnya semua status OK) - pilih Next
Informasi untuk penambahan Bahasa (abaikan saja bisa di Add setelah instalasi)
Notifikasi untuk mendownload file config.php
Sebelum continue, Klik download file config.php, Copy file config.php ke /var/www/html/moodle/
Setelah dicopy kembali ke Instalasi dan klik Continue
Persetujuan Lisensi - pilih Yes
Informasi Versi Moodle yg terinstall - klik Continue
Setting & Update Database oleh Moodle, ada 12 step dan Tiap step harusnya “No Warning” - Klik Continue)
Setting Account sebagai  Administrator Web Moodle (misalkan moodleadmin)
Setting Halaman Muka - Isi Field yg diperlukan

Instalasi Cacti di ClearOS

Tahap-tahap instalasi CACTI:

1. Buat user untuk menjalankan database cacti
# groupadd cacti
# useradd -g cacti cactiuser
# passwd cactiuser
Changing password for user cactiuser.
New UNIX password: cactipassword
Retype new UNIX password: cactipassword
passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully.

2. Download terlebih dahulu paket cacti nya:
# wget http://www.cacti.net/downloads/cacti-0.8.7g.tar.gz

3. Ekstrak hasil downloadan tersebut dan hasil ekstrakan letakkan di direktori apache anda.
# tar xzvf cacti-0.8.7g.tar.gz -C /var/www/html/

4. Pindah direktori ke direktori apache anda.
# cd /var/www/html/

5. Rubah nama forder cacti-0.8.7g menjadi cacti
# mv cacti-0.8.7g cacti

6. Buat database untuk cacti dengan nama “cacti”.
# mysqladmin -u root -p create cacti

7. Pindah ke direktori cacti
# cd cacti/

8. Buat tabel-tabel untuk database cacti dengan mengimporkan file “cacti.sql” ke database cacti.
# mysql -u root -p cacti < cacti.sql

9. Sekarang buat user yang nantinya akan mengelola database cacti.
# mysql -u root -p
mysql> GRANT ALL ON cacti.* TO cactiuser@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'cactipassword';
mysql> flush privileges;
mysql> exit

(bisa juga lewat webconfig seperti biasa)

10. Kemudian edit file konfigurasi cacti yang terletak di folder “/var/www/html/cacti/include/config.php”.
# vi include/config.php

12. Sekarang saatnya membuat crontab untuk cacti.

13. Langkah selanjutnya adalah test apakah instalasi cacti berhasil atau tidak menggunakan browser anda.
Arahkan browser anda ke http://ip_komputer_anda/cacti, jika yang muncul adalah halaman instalasi cacti berarti proses instalasi berjalan dengan lancar. Seperti gambar di bawah ini, Click Next untuk melanjutkan:


14. Setelah anda click tombol next, maka akan muncul gambar seperti dibawah ini. Click next lagi untuk melanjutkan.


15. Setelah anda click tombol “Next” maka kemudian akan muncul gambar seperti dibawah ini

Pastikan bahwa semua path binary sudah di temukan atau tertulis “FOUND”. Jika masih ada yang error maka pastikan lagi tidak ada langkah yang terlewatkan.

16. Setelah proses instalasi selesai maka akan muncul halaman login cacti, anda dapat login dengan menggunakan username=admin dan password=admin. Seperti gambar di bawah ini:


17. Setelah anda berhasil login maka akan muncul halaman untuk mengganti password admin anda, silahkan ganti sesuai dengan keinginan anda, ini dilakukan demi keamanan server anda.


18. Terakhir, setelah anda merubah password untuk user admin anda maka anda akan menuju ke halaman index untuk user admin. Silahkan edit sesuai dengan kebutuhan anda.

Instalasi Jibas

Instalasi manual jibas di Cos

silahkan download dulu source/kode sumber :

1. pastikan fungsi webserver, php v.5 keatas dan MySql database sudah terinstal dan jalan.

2. setelah download selesai langkah selanjutnya adalah extract hasil download tadi ke /var/www/html (disini saya menggunakan WinScp)

3. kemudian di cli ubah permission untuk folder jibas dan fileshring :

   - chown -R 755 filesharing/
   - chown -R 755 jibas/

4. kemudian buat nama database di PhpMyAdmin dengan nama 'jbsakad'

5. selanjutnya database jibas di dump melalui cli dengan mengetik syntax :

Install EasyHotspot di Server ClearOS 5.2

Hardware Requirements:
1. PC with at least 2 NICs ( I used 3 NICs on mine)
i. eth0: Internet
ii. eth1: Hotspot LAN
iii. eth2: Admin (optional)
2. Access Point

Software Requirements:
1. ClearOS 5.2 Enterprise (http://www.clearfoundation.com/Software/downloads)
2. FreeRadius2
3. Coova-Chilli (http://www.clearcenter.com/media/dev/coova-chilli-1.2.5-1.i386.rpm)
4. Easyhotspot-web_only_0.2 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/easyhotspot/)

Install ClearOS
- Install ClearOS as a Gateway i.e. choose Gateway mode on system mode
- Select software modules
- Graphical Console
- DHCP and Local DNS Servers
- Mail Server
- Web Server
- Database Server / MySQL
- Optional modules (Web Proxy, Antimalware, Antispam, Bandwidth Manager, Intrusion Protection, Protocol filter)

- Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation and reboot the system. The system reboots into a GUI screen. Login using root and password you set during installation and Complete Installation wizard tasks

Firewall Settings
Go to Firewall by clicking the Firewall link at the end of the installation wizard. Add firewall rules to allow SSH and HTTP

IP Settings
Go to Network>IP Settings and make sure eth0 is configured for Internet Access and eth1 is set on something line Hot LAN or LAN and on DHCP. If you are using 3 NICs like I did, set eth2 with static/dhcp LAN IP address. Ensure the links are up.

Check Internet connectivity by open a second terminal (CTRL+F2). Login and trying pinging a web address. This verifies that Internet and DNS are working well. If successful, proceed to install FreeRadius2 otherwise check your connections.


Install/Setup FreeRadius2

For ClearOS 5.2, run your updates. For older versions, you must upgrade to 5.2 before you can use this module.
# yum update

Install the FreeRadius service by running the following from command line:
# yum --enablerepo=base-plus install app-freeradius

# service syswatch restart


In Webconfig, click on the RADIUS server link under Network » Settings » RADIUS Server
To start the service, click Start. To make the service start automatically on each reboot, click To Auto
You may assign a group to authenticate through your RADIUS server. Select a group and click Update.

To allow a remote device to use the RADIUS server, give the client remote device(s) a nickname without spaces. Insert an IP address or CIDR. Select a password to be used by these client devices (e.g. testing123 from HS_RADSECRET=testing123) and click Add.


NOTE: You can follow the complete HOWTO (http://www.clearfoundation.com/docs/howtos/setting_up_freeradius2_to_use_ldap) if you want to use LDAP authentication.

Configure FreeRadius2 to use SQL

Install freeRadius2-mysql
# yum install freeradius2-mysql

Edit radius.conf file
To do this, edit /etc/raddb/radiusd.conf and pretty much ignore everything except around about line 640 in the modules section uncomment or make sure that you have,

$INCLUDE sql.conf

and then further down make sure you have,

$INCLUDE sql/mysql/counter.conf

Then further around line 710 in the instantiate section make sure you have,

chillispot_max_bytes
noresetcounter


which are our counters which we define in the next section. Then in /etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default, in the authorise section after it has the "Look in an SQL database..." it has an "sql" entry that may be commented out so uncomment it and add the new counters so that it is now,

and then later in /etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default in the accounting section uncomment the sql about line 343,

Preparation
You will need the working RADIUS server to get this going. Be sure to do the 'Additional setup' items at the bottom so that PAP is working.

You will need to set up localhost as an authorized client of the RADIUS server.
Create a user called coovachilli with mail only and make a group called chilli.


Get the code.

/etc/chilli/defaults

Set the following values: HS_LANIF, change this value if it is wrong (ie. HS_LANIF=eth2).

HS_NETWORK, set this to the values of your network (ie. HS_NETWORK=192.168.1.0).
HS_NETMASK, change this value if it is wrong (ie. HS_NETMASK=255.255.255.128).
HS_UAMLISTEN, set this to the IP of your server (ie. HS_UAMLISTEN=192.168.1.1).

HS_DNS1 and HS_DNS1, set these to the IP address of your local DNS server, in this case your server (ie. HS_DNS1=192.168.1.1 and HS_DNS2=192.168.1.1).

HS_RADSECRET, set this to the secret password that you placed in the RADIUS configuration for the localhost entry in Webconfig (ie. HS_RADSECRET=mysecretpassword).

HS_RAD_PROTO=mschapv2, set this so the program knows to use the NT-Password infrastructure of LDAP described in the PAP section of the FreeRADIUS 2 Howto. This value does NOT exist and you must define it (set this to HS_RAD_PROTO=mschapv2).

HS_UAMDOMAINS, set all the domains that you want for your 'walled garden. These sites will work even if users don't authenticate via your captive portal:

Start Coova Chilli
#service chilli start

Testing
Connect a client to network (or Wireless Network). This is where eth1 on your clearOS server is connected.
-The client should receive an IP address of say 10.1.0.x

If so, open a web browser on the client. You should get a redirection to the coova login page.
